Melanie Ng is a Technical Producer in broadcasting and live television.
Melanie is Resource Specialist and Supervising Technician at the CBC and has recently graduated from the Media Production program at Toronto Metropolitan University. She has achieved a Bachelor of Arts in Media Production, a Television & Video concentration, and an Events & Live Entertainment minor.
Melanie specializes in the technical execution of live productions, ensuring smooth behind-the-scenes operations from the cameras, lighting, audio, and more. Her love for live production is rooted in game shows, but has recently expanded to news and entertainment. From interning at the CBC and Breakfast Television, Melanie’s passion drives her to gain hands-on experience and hone her skills in broadcasting.
With four years of experience, Melanie has a solid foundation in broadcasting that allows her to thrive in fast-paced and high-pressurized environments. She has worked in a multiplicity of environments from live television studios, news programs, film sets, lifestyle shows, award shows, sporting events, and many more! This offered her opportunities to work in various technical roles, offering a full glimpse into how each puzzle piece assembles the bigger picture.
